My Best for My Marriage: Video Devotionsنموونە
What She Needs
In these days of political correctness, what do we do with a passage like 1 Peter 3:7, which refers to wives as “weaker” than their husbands? Do we dismiss those passages as out of touch and no longer relevant? Or do we look more deeply into God’s Word and ask the question: What is God saying that my wife needs from our marriage?
LIFE APPLICATION QUESTIONS
- Take a moment to read through 1 Peter chapter 3. What is your reaction when you read those words about women being “weaker”? Do you instinctively reject them, or do they pique your interest and have you digging more deeply into the Word for the true meaning?
- How does God’s Word apply to you and your marriage in today’s modern society and a time of greater equality?
- If you’re a husband watching today, ask yourself: How do I see my wife? How am I cherishing and valuing her, today and every day? If you’re a wife, ask: What am I really, honestly expecting from my husband and my marriage?
- Let your mind linger on 1 Peter chapter 3 today. Ask God to reveal His truth to you as you allow those verses to sink into your heart.
