Time Well Spent

DAY 6 OF 21

What would you ask for if God said you could ask for anything? This question sounds more like something out of Disney's Aladdin than from the Bible, but it is actually something God asked a man named Solomon. Solomon could have asked for literally anything, but he asked for wisdom (1 Kings 3:3–15). Wisdom was probably not the first answer that popped in your head. In fact, asking for wisdom seems a lot like asking for help, and in our minds, that can make us feel like we’ve already failed. But think about it this way: wouldn't life be great if you knew for certain that you were making wise choices?

When you spend time with God, you’ll begin to understand that His wisdom is available to you too. The answers to your questions are not always written clearly in the sky or laid out like a GPS road map. In making time to ask God for wisdom, you will often have peace with a decision that doesn't make sense to those around you. The next time you come to a place in life where you wish you had a GPS, pause and ask God to give you wisdom.

What are some areas in your life where you wish you had more wisdom and clarity? God is ready and waiting for you to ask Him today!

About this Plan

Time Well Spent

We all want to be intentional. We all want our lives to matter. One simple thing we can do is to change how we start our day, and the best way to start our day is to hear what Jesus has to say. When we start there, it will change how we see things and how we live our lives.
