DAY 40 OF 43

HERITAGE

It is common that every parent will leave a heritage to their children or descendants. Heritage is a legacy that has owner proprietorship, be it in large or small form or property, or something that is invisible to human eyes to be left for the next generation.

However, the most valuable legacy for our generation is spiritual heritage, a wealth that cannot be measured by money and is unperishable. If we want to see our next generation or descendant live in a righteous way, it will start from us as the predecessors. What are the things we have done, what is our obedience to God's Word? Are we sharing and living what we have received from hearing the Words of God? Those things will stay in their hearts.

The younger generation will see how we maintain harmony with our family. For example, how we keep our faithfulness in His presence through prayer, praise and worship, relying only on God and His Word during hard times, His presence always with us in all of our life. This is our heritage.

If our descendants see our spiritual life and they want to hold every advice to follow God, they will become a powerful generation on this earth. We will give birth to spiritual generations that live a pleasing life in the eyes of God, and they will be lifted up and glorified by God.

The most valuable heritage for our descendants is the legacy of spiritual relationship with God.
