WHEN WE PRAY
When we pray we do not only convey our requests. Prayer is about our relationship with the Father in heaven - a relationship which is based by love.
David wrote how he loved the Lord. His soul longed for the Lord. Even his body longed to experience the love of God, just like the dry land longs for the water. How about our Father in heaven’s love for us? Actually He has more longing than us, He longs for us to have a fellowship with Him.
We could buy anything in this world if we have a lot of money. However, nothing can be compared to His presence and love in this world. Therefore, when we pray, do not be in a hurry to tell Him about our requests. God knows the best for us. Let us have hearts that thirst for Him and bring our longings in praise and worship. Let us have a personal encounter with the Lord. Let Him fill us with His longing. We can pour out our hearts before Him.
