7 Benefits Of Being A Kingdom Steward

DAY 2 OF 7

The second benefit to being a kingdom steward is receiving God’s promise to meet your need. But let’s be clear on this; God’s promise is contingent on you operating as a cheerful and generous steward. In other words, you understand that all you possess is His and should be used to bring glory to His name and to bless those serving as stewards with you in the kingdom. Philippians 4:19 reads, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” What people often fail to do is read the previous three verses, where Paul thanks the same people for giving abundantly to help him and others.

Also, do not forget that sometimes God will not immediately meet your need if He is allowing you to go through a trial of some kind for the purpose of growing you as a Christian. In these times, your need goes unmet even though you might be operating as an obedient steward. But when you find yourself in this lean season, “consider it pure joy,” as the Lord not only plans to meet your need but to make you a better you than you were before.

Finally, remember that God meets your need “according to His riches in glory.” Sometimes, we pray for things we don’t actually need. Either we fail to look at the situation honestly or we just can’t see the full picture of our need for what it is. When this happens, we find ourselves asking for things that don’t actually address the real need. That’s when God comes through by meeting the need rather than the request. Therefore, good stewardship always leads to God keeping His promise to meet your needs.

About this Plan

7 Benefits Of Being A Kingdom Steward

God seeks stewards in His kingdom. Everything created belongs to Him. He desires us to utilize the gifts He has given us to build His kingdom. However, many of us want to do things our way, trying to take possession of these gifts as though they were our own. But it might help to know of the benefits of letting go, allowing God to use you as a kingdom steward.
