DAY 1 OF 3

ROOTED IN JESUS

The function of roots in plants is to support or strengthen the plants so that it can stand strongly in the place of its life. The strength of the roots will be tested. When the storm blows against the plant, we will know if it is strong enough to survive. The roots’ function is also to absorb water, minerals from the soil, and nutrients needed for its growth.

When we are rooted in Christ, God’s righteousness will be more evident within us as we grow more in the knowledge of Him. Our attitudes, actions and reactions will be in line with God's will.

Storms will come in our lives. How deeply are we embedded in Christ? He is with us in the storms.

Jesus said, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock." And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25 NASB

In this life we must be strong and mature in Christ so that we may become people who always grow, rooted in Jesus. Being rooted in Christ is the beginning place of obedience.

Proximity to God will make faith more confirmed and strengthened.
