DAY 11 OF 17

MY HOPE ONLY IN JESUS

Many times power is used as indication of success in this world. When someone is promoted to a greater power and influence, the more employees he may have. With that misuse of power, one thing that makes an employee complain is the unjust and non-transparency in the salary and reward system to justify their wages.

In Genesis 31 an injustice happened in the rewards that Laban gave to Jacob.  Even though Jacob had worked very hard for Laban, Laban did not reward Jacob accordingly. Laban broke their wage agreement ten times when it came to giving reward to Jacob. But God cares about Jacob’s misery and labor while he was in Laban’s house. God caused Laban to give away his livestock to Jacob. If not because of God’s interference, Laban would have let Jacob leave empty handed.

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye service, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. (Colossians 3:22). and Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven (Colossians 4:1).

Even though we are treated unjustly, we have to believe that God has never forgotten us and His mighty hand will defend us. Our hope is only in Jesus, who will not let us down.

Let us look forward to our future with trust because God is always with us.
