Mind•Full

DAY 1 OF 3

Warren Buffett reported once in an interview that he spent 80% of his career thinking. Buffett is coined as one of the most successful investors in the world. Like Buffett, many of us spend years thinking of plans, learning strategies, and goal-setting in hopes to reach our idea of success. We find ourselves thinking more about how things will work out than believing that they will.

Many of us are literally overthinking our way right into depression, anxiety, and a decline in our mental health. The pressure of success has exceeded “keeping up with the Joneses” as we now find ourselves living in constant comparison to 3.2 billion social media users. You may feel that you don’t compare your life to the things you see on social media, however, I believe unconsciously we all have at some point with our “#Goals” references.

I often imagine that God is watching us wondering why we choose to believe what we see rather than what He says. I wonder how many times He clears our mind of clutter and we habitually fill it right back up with thoughts that hold us hostage year after year.

Today we are exposing those thoughts because exposure invites God in and drives the enemy out. Make the decision to free your mind of all things contrary to the word of God.

Reflection:

Write down the thoughts, worries, or fears that replay in your mind daily?
