Day 3: Hear the Call of Christmas

If you have family and friends to spend Christmas with this year, take time to think of those who don’t. Offer to spend time with someone you see sitting alone at church. Bring a meal over to a person you know who lost a spouse. Buy an extra gift to donate to a local shelter for a family who may not be able to get gifts for their child this year. If you don’t know anyone directly, your pastor can help you. There are countless ways that you can help those in your community, and all it takes is a willing heart - not any special talents or a ton of money. 

If you are reading this and you’re feeling like this upcoming Christmas is going to be lonely, and you’re feeling forgotten or forsaken, read the lyrics of “The Call of Christmas”. Find a moment of peace knowing that you’re not alone. You are loved. You are important.
