How to Plan for Success - Life Is Easier When You Know Where You Are Goingنموونە
4. Plan with Advisors
It's easy to get excited about our plans, especially when we know God has put something into our hearts, and we can't wait to see it happen. But even more exciting is to discover that the same God has put us in a community that can bring even more insight into what God wants to do in and through our lives.
So much more can be achieved when we not only rely on ourselves but when we let others speak into our lives. Have you ever had a problem that you know could have been avoided if you had asked someone for advice? That's the same with planning. When you plan, you first let God speak to you directly, but then you let others evaluate what you heard. When we do this, we can see more details and different perspectives about our plans.
I know quite a few people that were in relationships they "knew" were from God. After some time, they realized they had been wrong. The time and energy spent could have been avoided in most cases had they asked for wise counsel. But they didn't because they thought they knew.
Whenever you start planning, make sure you have people around you that will help you with evaluation. This doesn't mean your prayer was ineffective, and it means God gave us people who He wants us to use to help one another.
About this Plan
Sometimes we wonder why our lives seem to lack direction. Often we feel that we spend most of our time reacting to circumstances that life brings us, but the most common reason is usually a lack of planning. However, the Bible teaches us very valuable and practical lessons about how to find the right direction and effectively go through life making the most of what God has entrusted us with.
