30-Second Spark

DAY 8 OF 10

8. Unconventional Provision

Bread and meat delivered twice daily, with ample fresh water. Modest, but sufficient.

An inexhaustible supply of flour and oil for breadmaking. Nothing to put on a sandwich, but it beat starvation.

Oil enough to sell to become debt-free and live off the rest. Better than being enslaved.

Elisha was accustomed to supernatural, albeit unconventional, provision. Throughout a devastating drought, not only Elisha but also those willing to trust him experienced God’s abundance.

God’s idea of provision might not be my preference, but it is preferable to perishing.

Let’s be children of God who receive God’s provision with sincere gratitude.
