Hold On

DAY 6 OF 6

JUST A LITTLE LONGER

In conclusion, rest assured that God is in control even when life feels out of control. We are not at the mercy of luck, chance, or the whims of the “universe.” Fortune and Destiny are false gods that don’t rule over God’s all-powerful and providential hand in our lives. He knows the plans He has for His children—plans for good and not for harm—serve to give us a future and a hope for better days.

What a gift the Bible is because it tells us how the story ends! Armed with this knowledge, I encourage you not to be discouraged when you are in a difficult chapter of your life. Remember, your story is still being written. Almost every movie you watch or book you read follows the same pattern: Things start out well, then an enemy is introduced or a problem arises, and then, at just the right time, a hero rises to the challenge, the problem is solved, and the enemy is defeated. Of course, not all stories end happily, but for those whose sins have been forgiven it always does.

History is HIS Story. Because of what Jesus did for us at the cross, a beautiful future belongs to all those who repent of their sins and look to Jesus alone to rescue them. This is why we can find the strength to hold on just a little while longer; we know that evil, pain, sorrow, sickness, and disease won’t have the last word. In fact, we have so much to look forward to that we can’t even imagine what is to come. The Bible says it this way, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Hold on and don’t give up because you are being prepared for greatness as He trains you to Trust Him
