After David and leaders of Israel retrieve the Covenant Box from the house of Obed Edom, all the Israelites accompany the Covenant Box up to Jerusalem, praising God with song and music.

David appointed some of the Levites to lead the worship of the LORD, the God of Israel, in front of the Covenant Box, by singing and praising him.

The procession and the celebration surrounding David’s bringing the Covenant Box to Jerusalem is described in 1 Chronicles 15:1-28. What did David do after offering sacrifices and blessing the people? How is the worship celebration described (verses 4-7)? What types of celebrations take place within your community of faith?
