The Power of Assumptions
What we assume about people affects our expectations of them and in turn, influences how we treat them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a believer or a “pre-believer,” our assumptions have extreme significance on what we give them of ourselves. If I misdiagnose who a person is and their place before God, I will mistreat them. In the natural, we know that if a disease is mistreated, the problem is not cured, and sometimes an additional problem will occur as a result. Biblically based assumptions set a correct course that brings the best out of the people we love and serve. Heaven’s culture is to influence our values so deeply that our perspective on people and their potential is to mirror the reality of that world.

What can we, as believers, do to prevent our heart from making wrong assumptions about people?

About this Plan
You’re invited to walk through Bill Johnson’s teaching on The Way of Life. We want to see God demonstrate His will in and through us so profoundly, and obviously, that it becomes the very thing that draws people into the Kingdom. Let us live, love, and lead like Jesus. This plan is taken from Bill Johnson's book, The Way of Life.
