The Issue is Hope
At this point, many will warn about giving false hope. That possibility is very real and painful. When false hope is given, it is usually in the context of hype, which I despise. It promises miracles, breakthroughs, fulfilled dreams, and perhaps even material blessing in the name of faith. But it can’t deliver. I do think it is often a carnal attempt at faith and sometimes well intended. Hype is dishonest at its root. Those who live this way lose credibility over time. Yet my concern and focus is more on our not giving people an inferior or weak hope. Both caution and fear are often called wisdom by those unwilling to live with the level of risk necessary to bring about significant advancements in our Kingdom lifestyle and experience. Whenever weakness in faith is given a virtuous name, it has permission to stay.
Apply
Any area of our life that has no hope is under the influence of a lie. Reflect and ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart with you. Can you identify areas in your life where you have no hope? Bring these areas to the Father and ask Him to breathe truth and hope into them.

About this Plan
You’re invited to walk through Bill Johnson’s teaching on The Way of Life. We want to see God demonstrate His will in and through us so profoundly, and obviously, that it becomes the very thing that draws people into the Kingdom. Let us live, love, and lead like Jesus. This plan is taken from Bill Johnson's book, The Way of Life.
