Community
Nobody was created to do life alone.
For example, look at Jesus’ life. If anyone could've managed doing life alone, it was Jesus. And yet, He surrounded himself with good friends. Jesus knew the importance of intentional relationships and He modeled that for us.
Jesus knew we needed other people to encourage us, challenge us, and hold us to the things we say we’re going to do. We need others who accept us (Romans 15:7), encourage us (1 Thessalonians 5:11), be patient with us, love us (John 13:34), walk through hard times with us (Galatians 6:2), and pray for us (James 5:16).
Do you have these kinds of friends?
If not, what do you need to do to find some?
About this Plan
Many people treat spiritual disciplines or practices as optional. And yet, for Jesus and His earliest followers, these practices were part of their everyday lives. If we truly desire to follow Jesus and become more like Him, we cannot ignore the very practices Jesus Himself modeled for us.
