Reclaiming The Peace Of God

DAY 2 OF 4

Prince of Peace

Jesus is the personified version of peace itself. He himself is our peace and He causes peace to obey His very commands. His words cause peace to come into the most difficult of situations. When Jesus is present the atmosphere around Him must bow to His sovereignty. Therefore, it is vital to spend time in His presence.

Where His presence is there is freedom from anything holding us captive. Whenever we grow in our love relationship with Jesus we experience more and more of the peace that He brings. Spending time in God’s word helps us to know the fullness of the peace that God wants us to experience in our lives.

He never promised that we would have a life free of pain and storms, but He did promise that He would cause it to work together for our good.

There is peace in knowing that the author and finisher of our faith is in control over every detail of our lives. His peace is our gift and greatest reward. Jesus suffered and was chastised for our peace and He paid the ultimate price to give us peace. This means no matter what situations we face, His peace is ours for the keeping. As Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NIV).

Prayer

Father God, Thank you for your peace, love, joy and mercy and I ask that you will help me to stay focused on you so that I may remain in Your peace. I want to know you as the prince of peace, even in the times of turmoil and chaos. I ask you to bring calm to my soul and to my mind in the name of Jesus, Amen.

About this Plan

Reclaiming The Peace Of God

This plan is about experiencing the peace of God through intimacy and time in His Word. It is vital to know how to manage your peace while allowing God to put you back together piece by piece. Everyone has a moment of brokenness in their lives but how they are put back together is determined by what they do with the pieces.
