Heart Health

DAY 2 OF 4

The next type of ground that Jesus explains to His disciples is “stony ground." This sort of ground has a thin layer of soil - not much depth. This type of heart hears the Word of God and really enjoys the the idea of experiencing the benefits of God’s promises. But when this type of heart is faced with challenges, it gets turned off and runs away from the opportunity to trust God.

The shallow depth of soil symbolizes the depth of a person's relationship with God. When things are great, this person trusts God; but when things aren’t so perfect, he/she lays faith aside. This person's relationship with God is fair-weathered.

Your heart has more depth than that! When you are intensional about giving God the contents of your heart in exchange for the contents of His heart, the depth of your soil increases. When you go deeper in your relationship with God, you become so intertwined with Him that the challenges you face won’t pull you away from Him. Those challenges will become opportunities for your heart to grow healthier and deeper in love with Him.

About this Plan

Heart Health

Your heart must never become a well-beaten path. It must be guarded well. Too many voices, too many words, too many circumstances can cause your heart to be worn and incapable of grasping what God wants to whisper to it. Let's clear the path and keep the heart healthy and intentionally moving forward.
