DAY 20: A PRAYER OR RESTORATION
“The great thing to remember is that though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not.” C.S. Lewis
Restoration is the topic of verse 12: “Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
Restoration is central to God’s work. How cool is it that we get to be part of that process? Not only does God restore our brokenness and offer us hope, he also invites us to participate in his work of restoration. It may seem crazy, but the Lord trusts us to be his hands and feet and advocate for those in need.
Through our prayers, words, and deeds, we provide a bridge to Christ for friends, family, and neighbors. The church is for everyone. We want to reclaim lost lives and offer hope to the broken. Where is God leading you to help rebuild?
Have you ever received forgiveness and felt the relief of grace wash over you? That feeling of undeserved grace is life giving. Is there someone in your life who needs your forgiveness?
PRAY
- Where do you personally feel broken and in need of restoration? Spend a few minutes sharing with God your situation(s), and ask him to restore you.
- Do you sense that spending these 21 days in prayer together has increased your capacity for restoring things that are broken? Perhaps seeing yourself as a restorer of broken things is new for you. Spend time praying for God to show you where you can offer restoration. Have you been resisting restoration with anyone in your life? If so, ask God to soften your heart; then bring the people involved to him in prayer. Pray for courage to shower them with love and compassion.
- Pray now for the people in your life and your neighborhood who need to hear about Jesus. Pray for an opportunity to invite them to spend time with you, or to join you at church, or to even share your story about a time when God became real to you.

About this Plan
We are becoming followers of Jesus who pursue God, build community, and unleash compassion one neighborhood at a time. To increase our capacity and potential to experience this way of life to the fullest, this plan will set apart 21 days of focused prayer to allow God to build and express these qualities more fully in us.
