He Marveled.
In Matthew 8:8 KJV, “The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” The Centurion declares that he was not worthy that Jesus should come to his house. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Worthy” is, ‘hikanos’ (G2425) which means, “sufficient or enough.”
Do you mean that the Centurion said to Jesus that he was not “sufficient enough” for Jesus to enter into his home? The Centurion was not only humble but he understood natural and supernatural authority — the Centurion honored Jesus. With humility comes honor. With honor comes access. With access comes authority.
Remember in Matthew 13:58 KJV Jesus could not do many mighty works because of their unbelief. Unbelief will block your breakthrough. Unbelief will limit your access to supernatural authority. When you dishonor God, through unbelief, you stifle your breakthrough and limit the anointing.
Jesus marveled at the faith of this Centurion and said that He had not seen this type of faith in all of the region. Maybe you’re the Centurion. Maybe, because of your faith, family members are healed and regions are transformed. Maybe, because of your faith, mountains are moved and yokes are destroyed. Maybe, you’re the Centurion and you have the faith to ask God for the impossible. With God all things are possible. Choose to trust God. Choose to send the Word.
