Insecurity: God's Enemy

DAY 2 OF 4

The truth in times of insecurity

God saw that it was good

He formed me in my mother's womb, He knows my every part
He sewed my forms together, He placed in me my heart
He made my hands and fingers, He formed my feet and toes
And every tiny piece of me, He intimately knows.

Yet I look in the mirror, and see the forms He made
I notice every part of me that I have come to hate
And voices say I'm ugly, that I was made deformed
They rob me of my happiness, and steal from me my warmth

The Lord then whispers softly: "You need not be afraid.
For years you let them hurt you, but still it's not too late.
You know the truth I told you, so let it be your sword.
And every voice inside of you will flee before the Lord."

And though my heart is doubting I keep in mind the truth;
God looked at how He made me, and saw that it was good.

About this Plan

Insecurity: God's Enemy

Insecurity is horrible, I know, and it definitely isn’t something you should want to accept and embrace, but it will go, believe me, it will go. Or don’t believe me, but believe Jesus. For remember how He promised that every plant not planted by His heavenly Father will be rooted up? In this plan, you read three touching and powerful poems on insecurity from a biblical perspective.
