DAY 2 OF 3

You Got This!

Word of the Day: Confidence

Definition: The feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust; self-assurance (Google.com, 2019).

Reflection: Truth be told, if we were all honest, this is an area in our lives where we have all had some ‘question marks’, ‘exclamation points’, and absolute ‘periods’.  Depending on the experience that life poses, the outcome could vary. Sometimes we can feel so aligned and compelled toward the direction that we are going, this optimistic feeling overtakes us and we believe or trust that we can take on any challenge.  Other times, humiliating or severe traumatic experiences can leave us deflated and full of fear to try again.  It is the negative experiences that can chip away at and/or diminish our confidence. I want to encourage you to never lose your confidence.  If you fall, get up- dust yourself off, and keep going.  You have too much to lose to allow yourself to be defeated by lacking confidence.  Keep God at the center of what you aspire to do, put all of your trust in Him. He will give you strength (Isaiah 41:10). There is great reward in store for those that endure.  Let him do a work in you!

Prayer: God, thank you for this compelling reminder to remain confident and trust that you are with me. I will stand on hope, faith, and trust in you to fulfill every promise that you have spoken over my life.  Everything that I experience (good and bad) will be for my good and no good thing will be wasted. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Affirmation: I am confident. I will persevere. Good success will come to me, because He is good.
