21 Days To A Teenager’s Spiritual Changeنموونە
Get to Know the Truth
I assume that every morning, when you get up, before you start doing anything, you go to the bathroom, look in the mirror and see all the imperfections of your looks and hairstyle. So, I want to ask you, when you see your ‘morning’ self in the mirror, do you do anything with your looks or do you leave everything as it is until the evening? I would guess that the first option is correct . . .
The Word of God is like a mirror in which we can look to see what should be changed in our looks. Everyday it reveals the motives of our heart, points to our mistakes and sins, and demands our change. When you “look in” the mirror of God’s Word you have two options: go away and do nothing with what you saw or do what it says and bring your life into order.
Jesus said that the Word of God is the Truth. It is a living and effective tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit, through which He forms us in the image of Christ and prepares us for the tasks God has intended us for. So, to become similar to Jesus we need to fill our lives with His Word.
The Bible is something more than a doctrinal guide. It is spiritual food that needs to be taken, so that we can fulfill the goal for which we were created. If we want to be spiritually healthy, we need to feed on the Word of God. Jesus calls us to stay in His Word, so try to make the Bible a basic norm for your life, a standard for how you think and act. If you are about to make any life choices, find out what the Bible says about it first. Decide to do what God tells you in His Word, whether it makes sense for you and whether you feel like it or not. Just believe God in the Bible!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray that your Word would talk to me and influence my life. I want to get to know the Truth and I long for your truth to change me. Amen.
Challenge: Try to invite a friend to follow this plan with you. During those 21 days be an encouragement to each other, strengthen each other, and share your progress.
