Speak Over The Fear

DAY 4 OF 5

I Speak What I Believe!

If I believe I matter and someone needs me to be me, it is and should be difficult for me to hoard my talents for self-gain or hide my talents out of misguided self-deprecation. Why? Because I know the value of who I am and what I can do.

Actions speak. Actions also show what you believe. Whether you like it or not, your actions speak what you believe.

Importantly, you have the power to choose what you believe about yourself. Fear knows this. Fear will go to extreme lengths to make you think you’re powerless. Fear will also readily use other people, circumstances, and even your own thoughts to contain you. Ever the bully, fear will taunt, strut, and tempt you to doubt God’s love and good plans for you.

Chapter 17 of 1 Samuel records how the taunts of one giant Philistine warrior frightened King Saul's entire army. How was David, a young shepherd, able to defeat Goliath, an experienced champion warrior? What can you learn from David’s example in confronting Goliath? Getting more personal, what Goliaths are taunting you? More importantly, what words of God are you speaking over these taunts?

Challenges are part of life. If you remain silent or agree with fear, you will reap a harvest of fear-dominated results. But if you choose to respond with God’s Word and dare to believe in the value of who you are and what you can do as God's child, you can defeat fear - every time and with every action that positions God's power to work on your behalf.

About this Plan

Speak Over The Fear

How often has fear stopped you from pursuing your goals? Ever the bully, fear will taunt and tempt you to doubt God’s love and good plans for you. God says His children are overcomers. When you respond to fear with God’s Word and act anyway, fear becomes a training ground, producing boldness and testimonies. You can prevail! Be the overcomer God says you are. Speak Over The Fear!
