Love God Greatly: To Do Justice, To Love Kindness, To Walk Humbly

DAY 16 OF 26

Prophecy can be tricky sometimes, right? What does it mean? When will it happen? We must be very careful when we read Scriptures like we have today.

In today's verses, Micah is talking about two different times. In verses 9-10, he is talking about the exile to Babylon and the return to the land under King Cyrus. In verses 11-13, there is a Messianic prophecy referred to the Armageddon right before Christ's second coming.

There are times in our lives when we don't understand what God is doing. We just don't get it. He does things in a way we wouldn't and allows things that we don't want to live. But, as Romans 8:28 says, for those who love God, all things – the good, the bad, the difficult, the hard times, the tears, the sorrows, all things! – work together for good. We may get confused by how God does things, but we can never doubt that He will work everything for our good and His glory even when we don‘t understand His will.

Oh Father, forgive me for doubting Your methods and Your times. When I‘m lost and confused, help me put my trust in You and in Your love for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: To Do Justice, To Love Kindness, To Walk Humbly

We are surrounded by injustice and pain. We see it not only in our world but also in our own lives and it can be disheartening and overwhelming. But we are not without hope. This is what Micah is all about. He is not afraid to get in our face about some hard topics like sin and judgement.
