DAY FOUR: Pray for Your Child's Self Image  

This generation is being tossed about like leaves in the wind and like waves in the ocean. The minds of our children are being infiltrated by all the latest fads and rebellious lifestyles.

The enemy uses social media networks to capture the minds of our young people, disrupting communication, unity, and family time. This kind of lifestyle only leads to low self-esteem, anxiety, disillusion, and a lack of ambition to do the things that are important.

There is great urgency to cover our children with powerful prayers that will protect their hearts.

Father, give me the strength to recover my vitality and my energy and to remain focused. I renounce the works of the enemy and declare that my children will not be sluggards or procrastinators. I declare that we are free from curses of idleness (laziness) in the name of Jesus. Amen (Prov. 6:6–11).

Lord, keep my children’s hearts from pride and their eyes from haughtiness and arrogance. Help them to base their confidence on their identity in Christ and not on their own looks or abilities. Turn their eyes from looking at worthless and vain things, and revive them in Your way and in Your precepts (Ezek. 28:17; Ps. 119:37).
