God Is Greater

DAY 6 OF 7

God Is Greater Than My Needs

Mother Teresa once said “We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” Why does God allow us to experience and encounter need?  To teach us both dependence and provision.  The dependence teaches us to rely on God for all that we need.  The provision teaches us that sometimes God uses us to care for those that have little to none.  In both cases we learn that through God, we experience amazing abundance.

Action:

Take some time to reflect:  the times you have found yourself in need, has God ever abandoned you?  When you find yourself in need in the future, remember God’s faithfulness to you in the past.

Ask God to show you someone in your sphere of relationships that is in need.

Ask God to show you how you can practically meet that need.
