Christ In Youنموونە
We have a treasure. Anyone who has confessed his or her sins, trusting by faith in Christ alone as Lord and Savior, has received in return an inestimable treasure. Paul noted in 2 Corinthians 4:6 that “God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
The same powerful God who created the world, shining into the primeval darkness, had graciously shined a light into Paul’s own life and had given him Christ in exchange for his life of sin and darkness.
In his letter to the Colossians, Paul labeled this treasure as “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). This treasure must be valued rightly because all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ (Colossians 2:3).
What are some of the hindrances to a fuller expression of Christ in your life? How might God be currently at work in your life to remove these hindrances through seasons of affliction?
