John 13.
Jesus serves His disciples by washing their feet. He sets an example for us to follow.
We were made to serve just as Jesus did on earth. Choosing to serve may not come naturally, it may not be comfortable and it may even not be within your specific passion. However, serving is not just something we do; it is part of our identity as Christ-followers.
Jesus set the example for us to follow, but He also gives us a new command:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35 NIV)
Ask God how He is calling you to serve and love.
