Day Two – The Name of Jesus
“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder!” (James 2:19 ESV)
I tell you that the above verse is one powerful perspective. It is an eye-opener. It is a courage-builder. As an example to drive it home, visualize that you are walking through a lonely, dark valley, with every kind of demon such as lust, greed, pride, deception, jealousy, bitterness and fear that are looking at you, ready to pounce upon you. You know you are out-manned and over-matched. Just as the Demon of Fear begins to move close to you, Jesus suddenly shows up and walks beside you.
You draw comfort from this, for as you look at those once-threatening demons, you see them shuddering in fear and fleeing from you, because of the presence of Jesus beside you. Got the picture? The point is you have no need to fear demons, or circumstances, or any other kind of evil that wants to put you under its bondage if you are walking with Jesus. Jesus is frightening to the forces of evil that come at you. Therefore, if something has a hold of you, He is the greatest Bondage Breaker who has ever walked the earth and He will help you.
It is simply a matter of asking for His help, and obeying His instructions. It is matter of taking your eyes off the bondage that has you under its control, and then turning your eyes and hope to Jesus. What is appearing to you greater than what you can personally overcome is a simple swat of the hand of Jesus to rid from you. His power is for you, if you learn to use it, and it is a power that no other force can stand against.
Now don’t get me wrong. There is every reason to respect what the “the world, the flesh and the devil” can do against you when it rears its ugly head. Therefore, we always respect our enemy, or else we become lazy and casual with our resistance. When this happens, there is a need for great concern, for being casual with respect to our enemy’s ability to scheme against us, makes us only one step away from being a casualty. Don’t become a casualty, when you can become a conqueror. This man in you can begin his break from his bondage right now, by using the name and power of Jesus to overcome it.
It is time that God’s men, which may include you, make an offensive push against the power of darkness in and around them that comes against their family, other relationships, and their life in general. We have been victims way too long, and it is now time to understand that we are on the winning team, and we need to take authority over the things Jesus defeated on the cross. The world desperately needs these men that the Bible calls, “More than Conquerors.”
However, before we hope to be a credible influence to others about the ability of Jesus to break the power and hold the enemy has over them, Jesus must break whatever has a hold over our life. It begins with you and me, before we can make a difference for anyone else. Therefore, today I ask you to call out the name of Jesus, and use His powerful name as an offensive weapon to take authority over the forces coming against you, and to become the Conqueror that God wants to raise up in you.

About this Plan
Many believers are in bondage, enslaved by all kinds of struggles, addictions, oppression, sin. Jesus came and died to set us free, not just to give us a pathway to heaven, but to give us freedom on earth as well. If you feel imprisoned spiritually, let us show you how the Bondage Breaker can open the door to your jail cell.
