Kairos - God’s Appointed Time to Actنموونە
Love is the answer
Last week at my workplace, I had an argument with two of my colleagues. I tried to be as polite as possible, but they both ganged up and started debating and cross questioning my faith. I dealt with all their questions with love but I also felt a little hurt and I came back home and was in tears over what had happened. That’s when I was reminded of 1 Corinthians 13, that speaks about the qualities of love.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
This is the kind of love that God showered upon us, and that too while we were yet sinners!
As the psalmist says, When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?(Psalms 8:3-4)
He is so mindful of us and in His grace carries us every time we fall. How much more should we love and carry one another? And so I immediately started blessing my colleagues and I felt a tremendous sense of peace over me.
