Let's Celebrate The True Christmas!نموونە
A people on its knees
“O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night, O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night, O night divine!”
Christmas is a time of the year we have great expectations for, and sometimes great frustrations…
- The frustration of having no or few days off
- The frustration of splitting up one’s vacation with different parts of the family
- The sadness of knowing that someone in the family won’t be joining the celebration
- The grief of not being able to celebrate Christmas with those we love who’ve gone to be with the Lord over the course of the year
- Or simply the stress of decorating, menus, purchases
- Or loneliness…
As the magnificent song above says, no matter your situation, Jesus understands you! Through Him, you can rejoice with a thrill of hope.
Christmas is the holiday of deliverance...expect God to act! Fall on your knees before Him, tell Him about your stress, your frustration, your sadness, your discouragement...and let Him comfort you, calm you, counsel you, love you, surprise you!
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Whatever the storyline of your Christmas, don’t forget that the divine storyline is already written: you are God’s child, you’re filled with His Spirit, and you have Jesus as a friend!
My prayers are with you this Christmastime. And even more, Jesus is with you...He is Emmanuel, God with you! I wish you a beautiful Christmas Eve!
Be blessed beyond all your hopes and imaginations today!
Thanks for existing!

About this Plan
Everywhere, festive lights illuminate the streets, the fragrance of pine and cinnamon fills the air, and for several weeks, Christmas carols have returned to the radio. Each of these carols seems more beautiful than the last, and this week I’d like to (re)discover these lyrics that magnify the person of Jesus, our Savior.
