Grace For Your Waist-Living A Lifestyle Fitted With Hopeنموونە
Hope that Fits
Unannounced plateaus and strongholds can stonewall your progress and keep you stuck in a holding pattern. These days can often linger to weeks and can frustrate the most serious of “losers” with the urge to give up. Let’s face it. When food is used as a coping mechanism, it’s easy to fall down, get off track, or get discouraged. When this happens, it’s natural to trust in feelings instead of God’s grace.
One day, feeling that same sort of frustration, I read through some old journals. Within the pages, I found a letter I wrote to my younger self. The heart-felt words reminded me of why I began this journey and reminded me of the many reasons to not give up. It helped me re-gain composure and tuck God’s grace and hope back into my heart.
With a renewed perspective, self-control and perseverance, your perspective can change to overcome.
Whenever I feel discouraged or when complacency is wedging its way back into my heart where God should be, I read the words I wrote to myself.
When you feel like you can’t go on, (and you will) I suggest writing out your “why”. Everyday challenges can sometime place you into struggles where you end up in tight emotional places and awkward social situations. Grace and hope are wonderful helping hands of God to keep you upright and steady in every step of this journey.
True hope fits you uniquely in a redeemable way. It’s a kind of grace cocooned in God’s love that will push down every barrier and keep you pushing forward. The struggle or barrier you are facing today is developing strength you’ll use tomorrow. Remembering reasons to continue on and keep pressing forward are your motivation for reaching for God’s best.
To this day, I’ve never seen a butterfly crawl back into its cocoon and become a caterpillar. The beauty of the butterfly is the strength she can’t see until she spreads her own wings and takes flight.
Hope gives you the grace to embrace your waist. Hope never lets you down, nor lets your story die. It rises to the challenge and gives new life. Hope is still writing your story! Hope has already won. Hope’s name is Jesus.
