Grow Upنموونە
You might not ever stop to think about how you are a fruit-bearing plant grown from the seed of the gospel. But yesterday’s focus on Jesus’ parable of the seed and soils might have caused pause and reflection.
With such cultivated Christians in mind, Paul’s letter to the Philippians rallies them (through today’s passage) to keep going. Don’t stop. Don’t waver. Don’t take a holiday from who they have become in Christ. As a Christian leader who loves and prays for them, Paul also wants them to continually take hold of their own faith and lifestyle.
When he is not around and when they are amid their “crooked and perverted generation”, these maturing Christians are to shine like stars and hold firm to the word of life. Yes, you’re right – there is plenty in that, for all of us.
QUESTION: What areas of your life could become less about grumbling or argument, and more about shining like stars for “the word of life”?

About this Plan
A lot of emphasis is placed upon making the leap from childhood into adulthood. At some point, it’s going to seem weird or juvenile if we haven’t “grown up”. The Christian faith shares this element of maturing and developing. A steady yet sometimes overlooked part of our Christian faith is “growing up” – and it’s not just a solo pursuit. Christians are called to help each other in maturity.
