Grace, Love, & Restنموونە
Grace Grace
When I was at a coffee shop the other day here in Tulsa, I ran into my friend Eric from Church. I asked him if he had any thoughts on God’s grace. He thought for a second then said this: “God’s supply of grace will ALWAYS exceed our life’s demand for it.”
His grace is enough, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. This is good news to me! One of the greatest lessons I have ever learned about my weakness and wounds is that God chooses to use me not in spite of them, but precisely because of and through them. We are all wounded healers in this. If you have ever stepped into an AA meeting, this is made pretty clear. There is something of God’s power in the confession of our struggles. Vulnerability breeds honest community, and it is in that safe space that healing is dispensed. The secrets we keep create shame, but when we confess one to another and to God, the power of shame is taken away and replaced with the power of our healing God.
Take a moment and ask God to help you search your heart and illuminate any wicked ways in you. Ask him to open your eyes to what is not right in you. Then confess your need for His help and His grace. He holds nothing back from those He loves, which is you and me. He will be enough, and He will meet your weakness with His strength and power. Take heart, for He has overcome the world and is mindful of what concerns you today.
Grace and Peace,
