God is about to define a contract between Him and the people but it’s important to see that God delivered the people before He defined the requirements. They were His people and He loved them before they had done or even agreed to do anything. God has done the same for us. In Romans 5:8, it says, “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Though our relationship with God may call for sacrifice on our part, He made the first move. We will never out-love, out-sacrifice, or out-give God!
