Priceless: Who I Am When I Feel...نموونە
When I Feel Invisible...I’m SEEN and KNOWN.
Most of the words in Psalms that we have been reading together were written by King David. He was THE MOST FAMOUS and definitely THE MOST POPULAR king Israel ever had. In fact, he is still considered a celebrity by most Jewish people and has a city named after him.
You’ll never guess what he was like when he was your age...Popular? Nope. Well Liked? Nope. Voted Most Likely to be Famous? Nope.
He was invisible!
As a young teenager, David was so overlooked by his own family that when the prophet Samuel came to his house and asked Jesse (David’s father) to line up all of his sons because God had chosen one of them to be the next king, he didn’t even put David in the line-up! Samuel looked at all seven of David’s older, handsome, championship brothers and God told him to keep passing by each one. God explained to Samuel, “The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).
Finally, Samuel asked Jesse if there were any more sons. Jesse replied, “Only the youngest, but he’s kind of a nobody.”
Samuel commanded them to get him, and when the invisible, overlooked David walked in, God said, “He’s the one. I choose Him. I have seen him. I have heard him. Make him the next king because he was the one who had a heart for God.
If you feel invisible, I want you to know that God sees you. He hears you. He knows everything about you, and He is crazy about you! You don’t have to worry about who notices you or understands you. Spend your energy developing a heart for God. He will make you seen and known at just the right time.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You see me from the inside out. You even see the scars hidden on my heart that no one else can see. I can’t begin to fathom Your love for me. Thank You for pursuing me and healing my heart a little more each day. Daddy, I choose to stop feeling invisible because I know that I am chosen and redeemed. I am a daughter of the King! Thank you for bending down from Heaven to see me and hear me!
