SAYING 2: BE RICH TO THE POOR
In His divine economy, God values all, and each human being has great worth. Jesus said, “When you have done it to the least of these my children, you have done it to me.” God is the Defender of the Poor. For the ones who have less to fight with, He teaches us to take on His very nature as a fighter. In practical terms, if you are the employer, pay fair wages and do not overwork your employees. As you make it in life, make sure you are pulling someone else up with you. Make part of your best practices include serving the poor.
This scripture creates a metaphorical courtroom where God takes up the case of the poor. It is important to note that Almighty God says that of all the power that is accessible to Him, He sees himself not as the Judge but as the Public Defender. He sees the obscure, the invisible, the underserved, and He takes their case.
Should we not follow God in His pursuit for justice in the world? Who do you fight for?

PRAYER
God, put the one who has prayed for help in my path, and may I serve that one well and in so doing I will have honored you.
