Jesus wasn’t the only one feeling deeply troubled at this point; his disciples were growing more and more distraught as well, with all of this talk of their Lord leaving them and not being able to follow where he was going. And so Jesus, in this chapter and the next two, gives his confused followers “a gift – peace of mind and heart” (verse 27). What an incredible act of love, given that Jesus’ heart was so heavy at this time. As you read through the chapter, which of his words encourage you the most, and why?
