Daily New Testament - Quarter 4نموونە
Today’s chapter contains what is probably the most famous verse in the Bible – John 3:16. But pay close attention to the story in which these deeply comforting words appear. What surprises you about this encounter? In what ways do you perhaps identify with Nicodemus – a well-educated and deeply religious man who knew his stuff, but struggled to make sense of how he could be in relationship with God? You’ll also notice Jesus speaking of “the Son of Man,” which is one of his favorite ways to refer to himself, and noting how his sacrifice, and our response of believing in him, is the key to how we can be “born again,” or “have eternal life.” Let your heart dwell on these amazing truths.
The chapter concludes with John the Baptist shedding even more light on how important Jesus really is. His humble comment in verse 30 is worth thinking through in your own life.
