Killing It: A Study Of 1 Corinthiansنموونە
#killingit is a hashtag typically used to show off our own achievements. This desire to kill it, is killing us. Social media encourages comparison, judgement and envy. As followers of Jesus, our identity comes through being a follower and child of God, not through our status or achievements.
Paul knew all about achievements and being great. By his own admission, he was a legendary Jew. But after he started following Jesus, he boasted only in the cross and his desire to suffer for the Kingdom.
Because he has this new purpose he has died to his old pride and ethnocentrism to embrace the whole world of people Jesus loves.
Do you ever feel tired from the constant desire to prove to others that you are killing it?
Does the need for approval and achievement leave you feeling empty?
Ask God to help you find your identity and worth solely in Him.

"For the message of the cross if foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18
