An Interview With Godنموونە
Watch today’s clip as God talks to Paul about all that is possible by looking to Him.
One of the most exciting events at the Calgary Stampede rodeo in Canada is the Heavy Horse Pull. Teams of two large plow horses are harnessed to a sled on which weights are placed to see which team can pull the most. The reason for the tandem pull is that a first-place horse can alone pull 9,000 pounds while a second-place horse can alone pull 8,000 pounds. 9,000 + 8,000 = 17,000, right? No. Not in this case. Together, these horses can pull up to 30,000 pounds. The reason is synergy—the combined action of two things being greater than the sum of their efforts working alone. Far more can be done in a team than can be accomplished solo.
Connecting this concept of synergy to our brothers and sisters in Christ and our individual relationships with God, He will continually offer us two things:
1—Invitations
God wants us to experience being involved with Him in the work of His Kingdom, partnering alongside other believers. He will regularly invite us to join Him in what He is doing in the world, offering clear opportunities to use our gifts to accomplish much through our synergy.
2—Limitations
We are to discover what our spiritual gifts and God-given talents are and what they are not. When we work only within our gifts, we have to defer to others who have something to offer that we don't or are simply much stronger in certain areas. This is yet another component of experiencing God’s spiritual energy and synergy.
Two things will result from us accepting His invitations, while understanding and operating within our limitations:
1—Interdependence on Biblical community—relying on other believers
2—Personal humility—not relying on ourselves but God and others
Both our gifting and limits are God's sovereign determination to maximize our impact on the world, just as Jesus prayed for and committed us to in His prayer found in John 17. God’s gifts are a huge responsibility and privilege for us as we submit to and obey His will daily. He shows us how we fit into His big picture with everyone around us to change the world together in His name.
What invitations has God offered you lately to join Him in His work? Where do you see God’s synergy at work in your life and those around you?

About this Plan
In this broken world, God invites us into a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. His presence comes when we open our hearts. Inspired by the film An Interview With God, this five-day biblical study encourages us to listen to God’s voice in an on-going relationship with Him as both a Father and Friend.
