Confessing The Hebrew Scriptures "El Shaddai"

DAY 7 OF 7

El Shaddai, The Lord Almighty Strengthens Us

Adonai is the eternal God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not grow tired or weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives strength to the weary, and to one without vigor, He adds might. ―Isaiah 40:28‒29

Elo•hey o•lam Adonái Bo•ré ke•tzot ha•á•retz lo yi•áf ve•lo yi•gá eyn ché•ker lit•vu•na•to. No•ten la•ya•ef kó•ach oo•le•eyn o•nim otz•ma yar•bé.

Most of the time, we operate pretty well in the God-given abilities we possess. There are times, however, when we face bigger burdens than we can handle. When life takes you across the line marking the end of your strength and into the rugged land of “it’s too much,” it’s good to remember that nothing is too big for God. He never tires, and nothing diminishes His power – and His power is always available to us.

God remains ever-ready to give us the strength we lack to overcome the obstacles before us. When you are weary from life’s challenges, God supplies fresh vigor. When you’ve reached the end of your own strength, God offers you His. When one more difficulty, pain or loss nearly undoes you, God Almighty stands with you to provide what you need, helping you through the rugged terrain and back out to a smooth road.

“He gives strength to the weary and to one without vigor, He adds might.” Take courage; He will get you through. Since You are my rock and my fortress, You lead me and guide me for Your Name’s sake." ―Psalm 31:4

"Oh my strength, to You I sing praises. For God is my strong tower – my God of lovingkindness." ―Psalm 59:18
