Break Freeنموونە
There is a well-known story about the Trojan War, where the Greeks used a wooden Trojan horse to enter the enemy's city and win the war. After a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks made a huge wooden horse and hid a few powerful men inside. The people inside that city thought it was a gift from the Greeks and did not realize that it was only a trap. Likewise, sin always seems like a gift, fun and games, but it is a trap from the devil.
Our enemy always presents sin as something desirable that we should fall in love with. However, behind the scenes, sin always has a hidden agenda that is set in motion by the prince of darkness. This tactic is revealed in the story of Delilah and Samson (see Judges 16). Samson fell in love with Delilah, a Philistine woman, but this was a forbidden romantic relationship. Samson’s enemy, the Philistines, took advantage of this love affair and conspired with Delilah to defeat Samson. Delilah only pretended to love Samson, but the entire time she was reporting back to the Philistines her progress in discovering Samson’s secret to his supernatural strength. In fact, she had Philistines in her house ready to apprehend Samson the moment he lost his extraordinary strength. The Philistines paid Delilah to collaborate with them.
Likewise, sin is like Delilah, it gives momentary pleasure, but sin’s only allegiance is to do Satan’s bidding. Sin does not care about our wellbeing. While we are having fun with sin, Satan has already prepared demons to attack, torment, and oppress us. As the Philistines were behind Delilah’s actions to bring Samson down, in like manner, Satan uses this tactic to accomplish his mission of defeating you.
