There is something so unique about a person who walks with the Holy Spirit.
You don’t have to ask if they are a believer, or even wait for them to bring it up.
You just know.
You can feel the sense of peace within their presence. The positivity that generates off of them. An individual who follows the word of God is essentially marked for the world to take notice. It is obvious in how they speak. How they act. How they carry themselves. Because the word of God isn’t just a hat that you wear and take off whenever you want to.
It brands you.
In my day-to-day life, I am constantly discussing branding from a business standpoint. As the CEO and founder of a thriving marketing, media and training company, I understand the power that a brand can possess. Companies such as Apple, Disney, Coca-Cola, and Chik-Fil-A have all created effective brands for themselves. They have marketed themselves in such a way that consumers know who they are, what they stand for, and as such, they buy their products. I take this concept, and, through the help of my marketing team, we find ways in which we can strengthen our own brand. Throughout my career, I have asked myself one question about my company’s identity:
Can a business in this day and age really excel when branded with Christianity?
I believe that it is not only possible, but, as a follower who has been branded by the Word, it is mandatory.
The biggest requirement for the brand of an organization to take off would be authenticity. If you do not truly believe in your brand, then consumers won’t either.
I speak about God's word in my meetings, my keynotes, and in my personal life because He is a part of me. Some of my earliest memories are of being in church. I have preached in more Churches across the country than I can remember. I read my Bible each and every morning before work. It is impossible for me to ignore something that is such a large part of my identity.
- Do you feel that you show your brand off to the world? Why or why not?
- How can you strive to better display your brand to others?
