Just Jesus: Answers For Lifeنموونە
Happiness
God is big and God is happy! This is His nature. The River of Life that flows through you brings a supernatural joy that nothing can contain. It will wash away discouragement, despair, darkness and all forms of doubt. God’s kind of happy is understanding that the world can’t touch your spirit or rob what God gives you unless you choose to let it be taken away. Guard your heart! For out of it flow the wellsprings of Life. U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, who knew great sorrow, once said, “Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Being in challenging, tough or pressure-filled circumstances is no reason not to have a happy heart. It is part of life. If you’re not happy with what you have, you won’t be happy with what you get. Happy is a choice.
Memory Verse
“Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:5.
Declaration Prayer
I delight in the Lord and He gives me the desires of my heart. When life gets really difficult, I won’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, I’ll be glad that I am in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. I am made in the image of a big and happy God! My nature is big and happy! Hearing God’s wisdom makes me happy. I commit my way to the LORD; trust in him and He makes my righteous reward shine like the dawn, my vindication like the noonday sun. I will be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; I don’t need to worry when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. I will refrain from anger and turn from wrath; I will not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. How happy your people must be! What a privilege for me to stand here day after day, listening to your wisdom!
