Daring To Imagineنموونە
Doubt is the enemy of imagination. Doubt and fear neutralize what God wants to do in your life. It takes courage to imagine. Why? You need courage to move against fear.
When you’re a kid you have a great imagination. But the older you get the more your imagination grows rusty. You stop imagining how things could be and you start living the way they are. You stop using that imagination muscle in your life.
Sometimes you have to ignore all the insecurity you’re feeling and just say, “I’m going to go for it. I’m going to do it even though I’m scared to death, I’m insecure, and I might fail.” You do it while you’re afraid and then the fear goes away.
You have to believe and banish doubt. Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs. The problem we have today is we do the exact opposite. We believe our doubts and doubt our beliefs.
Instead you need to say, “I’m not going to allow fear to dominate; I’m going to allow faith to dominate. I’m going to trust in God. All things are possible with God.” Then your imagination talks about the good things that can happen and moves you forward.
Pray:
Jesus, I want to live by faith and I want my life to be shaped by your dream. Like the man who came to you with a sick son I am saying to you today, God, I believe. Help me with my doubts. Help me to ignore my insecurity and fear of failure and step out in faith believing you are faithful. I choose to trust you and believe that, with you, all things are possible. Thank you for your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
