Love God Greatly: 1 & 2 Thessaloniansنموونە
Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22
SOAP: 1 Thessalonians 5: 14-18
Paul gives the believers in Thessalonica “marching orders” to follow as they look for the return of Christ. First, they are to respect those who shepherd them in the faith and live at peace with other believers by serving one another, exhibiting patience with each other’s weaknesses, and extending grace. Most importantly, Christ followers are to flee from sin, cultivate a heart of thankfulness, and pray consistently.
As sin increases in this world, we are called to step forward and serve others. Our lives should be distinctly different from the world. While others are greedy and demand their way, we are set apart as grateful people fully devoted to God.
Lord, I want to give my life away to You. Help me to generously share with others and express gratitude for Your abundant blessings. Amen

About this Plan
In the books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, you meet a church who are going through some storms. Severe persecution is threatening their lives, and they are clinging to the promise that Jesus is coming back. This promise is from the Promise Keeper…He IS coming back. The Thessalonians had to learn to live with this hope as they lived their lives in the now.
