TRIALS & TEMPTATIONS
First of all what does the Bible say about wisdom?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
Therefore, to obtain wisdom we must revere God, his word, his Son, his Spirit.
Wisdom is application of our biblical knowledge. Wisdom is the ability to discern and judge God’s word. Wisdom is knowing when, how and where to apply our biblical knowledge. We cannot utilize God’s wisdom without God's knowledge of God's word.
Secondly, how does one receive wisdom from God?
Simply pray and ask God for it. The word “ask” means to request, to plead for, to call for. It is a term of urgency even to the point of demanding. Oftentimes during trials, we seek wisdom everywhere else but God. God is searched for when everything else fails. God should be our first resort.
God gives His wisdom generously to all. Our part is to ask, to plead, to demand with belief, faith and not doubt. To doubt is to prefer our own beliefs to God's word. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways. Trust that God will provide wisdom and be obedience by being doers of his word.

About this Plan
For James, Christians (that is, followers of his half-brother) should reflect the character of their God. And what we find in this letter is not works and more works as sometimes thought to be. On the contrary it is a letter infused by God’s character, with the intention of making God-shaped people living in the world.
