God Is On Your Sideنموونە
God Will Fight For You.
This verse is perhaps my favorite when it comes to needing reassurance about God having my back. I’ve spoken it over myself when I have felt wronged, run over, or bullied. It’s a verse that reminds me that God will fight for me.
As I mentioned on day 3 in regard to Nehemiah’s response to his attackers, he prayed and kept working. He didn’t start a campaign to get back but instead focused on the work God had called him to and trusted that God would take up His defense.
This verse is yet another reminder to you and me that when we want to point blame on our attacker or get back at someone, to take the higher road. I know some part of you will feel the need for justice, but let it come from God. Instead of getting caught up in a back-and-forth match of blame, keep pursuing what you know God has called you to pursue and let the mighty Judge take a stand for good.
True wisdom is reflected in how you choose to respond to a difficult situation. Now sometimes action on your part will be called for, and certainly be an advocate for others. Always choose to defend the defenseless or innocent. But when you feel jilted in the workplace or at home, just to name a few examples, don’t react from your flesh. React from the Spirit and move forward in peace. Our righteous God will act on behalf of the hurting and wronged.
